It's Done!

Actually, I finished the manuscript in October 2025 with a whopping 156k-plus words. Then came the first editing pass where I slashed and burned more than 30,000 words from the original. By March 2026, I started the second editing pass and further trimmed and tightened until my word count came in just under 109k words. It is now in review with a consulting agent at MSWL for package querying. So excited!

I smile at my youngest baby, whose fist reaches up, reaching for Diwa’s chin. I say a quiet prayer of thanks to my three fae. And to my many-times-great-grandfather, I whisper in Gaelic: “She’s home, Grandda.”
